TORAKS 2013

Instructions for Writing Abstracts

- abstract should be written in Croatian or English

- abstract length: max 400 words

- the name of the author who will present the paper should be capitalised

- author and co-author's last name and initials of the first name without titles

- author and co-author's name of institution, city and country

- author's e-mail address

- an abstract may contain:

a) objective, method, results, and conclusion

b) for case report: background, case and conclusion

- original abstracts will not be edited - linguistic accuracy is the responsibility of the author


All sumbited abstracts will be presented as posters.

All posters will be presented as Electronic Posters (e-posters) on the monitors.

- Each E-POSTER must be uploaded by the same person (account) who had submitted an abstract.


1) E-POSTERS saved as a JPG or PDF file:

- E-POSTER dimensions must be over 1780x1000 pixels (landscape format).

- Please do not use font size smaller than 10 pt.

- Image file sizes must be under 20 MB.


2) E-POSTER created in a PowerPoint format (.ppt or .pptx):

- E-POSTER has to be composed of ONE slide presenting the whole content of your poster.

- If you insert images or pictures, they MUST be in HIGH DEFINITION - 1920 x 1080 minimum (width by height).

- Please use fonts that are compatible under PC and Mac operating systems (Arial, Courier New, Georgia, Helvetica, Times, Times New Roman)

- E-POSTERS have to be realized in a landscape format 47,06 x 26,46 cm.




- Only one poster per abstract is allowed.

- E-POSTERS must not contain any audio, video or moving images.

The Organizing Committee of the Toraks 2013 will award the best three Posters on exhibition:

1. prize for best scientific work 7.000,00 kn

2. prize for best professional work 4.000,00 kn

3. nursing poster prize 4.000,00 kn
