CONFERENCE PROGRAM

At the conference there will be presentations and workshops.
On Friday, there will be a presentation about project GONG.
The project is about the right of persons with intellectual disabilities to vote.
On Saturday morning and in the afternoon there will be workshops.
Some of these workshops will be repeated to help people who can not go to them
when they are first on.
The workshops will be about things like:
• The right to start a family.
This means that all persons with intellectual disabilities have the right to have a family.
• Community living and independent living.
This means that all persons with intellectual disabilities have the right to choose where they want to live and who they want to live with.
• "How to make a video" will teach self-advocates how to use a video camera
so they can film themselves.
• "Paint to express" will show that all persons can paint to tell others how they feel.
On Sunday, self-advocates will agree on messages to send back to their families, organisations and governments.
